This calculator is based on using an 11 watt economy stick.

The formula is worked out like below:

356 x 4 x 0.085 x 60

Which in essence is essentially:

(356 days in a year) x (4 hours per day) x (0.085p per Kw/h) x (Wattage) = running cost.
